DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 29th year with its 2026 weekly surveys.
The UCLA Bruins (17-2) remain No. 1 for the third week in succession after a 4-0 week to fashion a Big Ten Conference-leading 6-0 mark with 11 consecutive victories. Texas dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten, after falling extra innings to Ole Miss but remains at No. 2 ahead of Georgia Tech, Auburn (top ranking of 2026 at No. 4) and Arkansas, respectively, to round out the Top Five.
Some of the top movers from the week five to week six polls are Georgia from No. 10 to 7, Oklahoma from No. 11 to 8, North Carolina from No. 12 to 9, Florida State from No. 15 to 10, Virginia from No. 18 to 12, USC from No. 20 to 17, Kentucky from No. 25 to 19, and Oregon and Louisiana moving into the top 25 in week six.
Southeastern Conference (10) and Atlantic Coast Conference (seven) teams currently occupy 17 of the Top 25 slots with the Big Ten and Sun Belt sporting three entries apiece.
There have been six conferences (five this week plus independent Oregon State) represented in the first six standings of 2026, and there were 10 different conferences in the 2025 NCBWA polls.
The 2026 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’26 season features 308 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.
