Washington State's Jones highlights Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week
The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has named five Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week for games of the week ending Sunday, Jan. 14.
HILLMON, LEGER-WALKER ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
For the season's second honorees for games ending Sunday, Jan. 10, the Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Michigan forward Naz Hillmon, the Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor goes to Washington State guard Charlisse Leger-Walker, and our USBWA women's team of the week citation goes to Washington State for performances in the voting period.
USBWA NAMES DURANT, BENNETT AS PLAYER, COACH OF THE YEAR
Texas freshman Kevin Durant has been selected player of the year and Tony Bennett, in his first year at Washington State, coach of the year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
