LYNCHBURG, VA. (NCBWA) – A total of 34 standout freshmen college baseball players from every part of the country are featured on the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-America Team, the organization announced today.
The 2025 NCBWA Freshman All-America Team features players from 33 different schools and 15 different conferences.
The two All-America teams are also made up of 10 conference “Rookie of the Year” winners. In addition, 20 all-conference honorees appear on the team. The teams also include one conference “Pitcher of the Year” and one conference “Relief Pitcher of the Year.”
LSU (2 1st team) and TCU (1 1st team, 1 2nd team) were tied for the lead with two Freshman All-American honorees each. The ACC (1 1st team, 5 2nd team) and SEC (6 1st team) led all conferences with seven players each selected to the two teams combined. The Big 12 had four selections, followed by three from the A-10. A total of three additional conferences (BIG EAST, Big Ten, Big West) had two Freshman All-Americans each.
The Freshman All-America team is voted upon by the membership of the NCBWA. The 2025 NCBWA National Freshman Player of the Year and National Freshman Pitcher of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, June 10.
